Cornbread

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375.  Grease 8x8 inch square pan, set aside. Mix together first 4 ingredients in mixing bowl, adding the buttermilk last.  In a separate bowl, combine the remaining dry ingredients.  Add to wet ingredients and mix until moistened.  Pour in prepared pan.  Bake for 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
