Taco Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1 cup salsa
½ cup mayo or salad dressing
2 tsp chili powder
2 cups crushed tortilla chips
1 cup shredded Colby cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 medium tomato, chopped
2 cups shredded lettuce

In a saucepan, brown ground beef and drain. Add salsa, mayo, and chili powder, mixing well.  In an ungreased 2 quart baking dish, layer half the meat mixture, chips and cheese.  Repeat layers.  Bake uncovered at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until heated through.  Just before serving, top with lettuce and tomato. Yields 6 servings.
You can just use cheddar cheese and it works great.
