Maple Syrup


1 cup sugar
1 Tb cornstarch
1/2 to 2 cups water
1 tsp maple flavoring

Mix sugar and cornstarch in a small pan and then stir in water.  Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is slightly thickened.  Stir in maple flavoring.  Serve hot.  Makes 2-3 cups
